LOOKMAN DRAWS PRAISE FROM SIDWELL

Former Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Steve Sidwell was full of praise for the outstanding display from Nigerian-born England winger AdemolaLookman this season in a poor Fulham team. Steve Sidwellspoke in glowing terms about England junior international Lookman while he was on Premier League TV earlier this month for analysis on the league encounter between Fulham and Burnley.

The league meeting between Fulham and the Clarets confirmed the demotion of Lookman and his teammates to the English Championship. Their Championship status was confirmed by the 2-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley thanks to first half goals from New Zealand international striker Chris Wood and midfielder Ashley Westwood. Westwood scored the first goal of the game off the assist from Wood before the ex-Leeds United and Leicester City attacker wrapped up the result as early as in the first half. The result ensured that the Clarets will stay in the Premier League for another season.

On Lookman, Steve Sidwell said the RB Leipzig loanee has been the go-to man for Fulham all season and that he was a real bright spark for the Cottagers. Lookman is on a season-long loan at Fulham from German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig having joined the London team at the start of the current campaign. The winger will most likely return to RB Leipzig when his Fulham loan deal expires.

Fulham scored just nine goals at home in the league all season and the abovementioned Lookman was responsible for five of those goals to underline his influence on the team.
